Math Ability

Sometimes I take for granted my math ability. For example, I often get frustrated at cashiers that have trouble giving me change. After I read this Slate Human Guinea Pig article, I realized that not all people can do 8 + 3. The article is hilariously written and I've always enjoyed her columns. It's too bad, her Dear Prudence columns don't match up with Dear Margo.

When I first tried Brain Age, I selected the test without the Stroop test and just the Arithmetic. I ended up with a Brain Age of 21...I missed two questions that would have put me at 20 (I think the handwriting recognition may have had something to do with it, as I was not used to it yet). So if you start off with such a low brain age, I suspect as I continue playing, my brain age will increase :(
