Wow i just read my entry and it's so random and disorganized... it's like a direct transfer of thoughts to the computer screen, w/o any thought put into organizing it to make sense. For the (few) ppl that read this, do you understand what the heck i'm saying?

Hey everyone!

I have Internet.....finally and only sort of....

For this term, our house decided to get a third party DSL provider, "The Higher Technology", cause roger's was crap last term. Well this one is even crappier. It makes even surfing difficult and ICQ doesn't work properly all the time :( We are currently looking into changing it...hopeful this problem will be rectified soon.

I ended the summer, which seem so long ago, with quite a bit of golfing actually. One of the GTAA's clients took a whole bunch of GTAA employees to play one day. And lucky me, i was included :) So i had the family car and drove all the way out to brampton. My boss received the wrong directions, which passed onto me and i just arrived there in time... A cell phone would have been really really useful that day, cause i ended up at a gas station consulting a map. BTW, i did finally get one. I opted for an expensive one, the motorola V60. It's a good phone, but that hurt the wallet! but i like it so much..... as jo says, i'm a phone ho. anyway, i got a really good plan, $20 for unlimited weekend&weeknights + 150 daytime mins. Plus i got all the extra goodies... if you can't tell already, i went to a chinese place all the way out in markham to get it, but it was well worth it. It was just a room w/ some computers in it on the 2nd floor of some chinese plaza. A quirky thing they had there was washroom keychains that were empty phone shells. And the place was absolutely packed w/ chinese people. But on second thought, after looking at the bill, the nokia 8390 probably would have been fine, but i like this one much better... it's a very masculine phone, unlike the vast majority of phones out there.

Anyway, back to my golfing story, the result of not having a phone to get the proper directions meant i couldn't order a full lunch. And since we were being taken out be this other company, everything was free! And trust me, i took advantage of that. Oh man, everytime the beverage cart came over i was ready to order something. So i got free alcholic drinks (only had one since i was driving), a free lunch (which consisted for two sausages cause i didn't have enough time b4 my tee time), free snacks for 4-5 hours (candy bars, chips, sports drinks etc), free use of a golf cart, free golf balls, a free dinner, a hat, a yoyo and a pen. And of course the golfing was free. Overall a very good day. On a side note, my golf game blows....really badly. Man, it was pretty ugly. oh well, no one was serious on the golf course, which is the way it should be. I ended up at softball practice after and i must say golf had totally exhausted me. You may think it's a low impact sport, but it's actually pretty tiring. After the softball practice we went to someone's home for some DDR and just hanging out. i was completely exhausted at this point and had trouble keeping awake. So really, golf can be an exhausting sport, b/c you're constantly moving around for like 5 hours.

I also went to another golf course the next week with Whanger and Dave Clement, where i also sucked. The highlight was definitely whanger almost hitting someone... let's just say it was a very close call and it wasn't much appreciated by the other golfer. Besides that, it was fun, but i think i've decided to retire from the game of golf at the age of 21....i am just that bad at it. I might pick it up again later if i can get some proper instruction and improve.

The 72 oz steak challenge i will describe in bloody detail next time...

But for this weekend i went back to toronto on the fed bus, which is only the second time i've ever had to take. usually i'm able to find a ride. The FED bus is a cheese wagon, and those r no fun over long distances. So when i got back, i went out for dinner w/ my parents, met up with jo, di and matt at demetres, went to pac mall and dinner with Kitty the next day and started absolutely no school work. Oh well that's what i get for going home. i got to drive my new Accord around though, which was fun :) (2002 special edition, for those who cared). Such a snap decision by my family to buy it, but we got a really good deal on it, so everyone's happy.

This week promises to be full of labs (3 alone this week!) and work.... although i am going to the dimensions dance on wed and kitty and i r going to try to join Social Dance at the Columbia Icefields on thursdays, which should be fun :)

Till next time, which i hope is soon, Lates,

Hey'all!

Yeah yeah, I know it's been way long since my last update. But I'm back and hopefully I'll be doing my updates more frequently.

Moving in was great. A lot less stress compared to last year. Internet was already setup, the phone line was hooked up, everything was ready to go! I remember last year I had to stress about getting the internet working, and getting the phone line from Bell, on top of that paying all the bills. It's going to be pretty nice now just not having to worry about all these things.

I'm living with my roommate Austin (Powers) Hwang. He's a really cool person and we're getting along really well. He's got this crazy movie collection (500 plus) and it grows 2 to 3 movies every few days. His girlfriend is over often, which is cool because she a great cook (I'm learning how to cook from her and Austin). I hope she comes over often, not only because of the good meals, but also because she's another really cool person.

I played softball last weekend and it was a ton of fun. I never realized how much I missed out not playing baseball/ softball. I got another game this Sunday so it should be another fun outing.

This weekend I'm going to a retreat with ACF (Asian Christian Fellowship). I'll be leading bible study with my partner Rob. The bible study is about David and looks to be a really good one from the prestudy. I hope everything goes well.

Well, I'm hungry now so it's time to go to UCC and eat. Later folks!

i'm so addicted to the internet...it hurts to be disconnected from it...

i'm at lunch right now, cary, kuo, rich and keith are at mikey's having lunch, but i came to the computer lab to check my email instead. Frosh week is now over, and it was tonnes of fun, but i have this f--king work report hanging over my head. I haven't even started yet, and it's due next week! I"m so screwed....yet again. when will i ever learn? and i want to go to FED101 tonight too, but i'll see what happens... I have a cold now too, which isn't pleasant...and the courses I"m taking are scaring me already and it's only the first day of classes!

well, really stressed out right now. I really should learn that time management thing...

anyway, hope i can write up some real posts soon...
