Mii's Galore

This site has posted a whole bunch of Mii's. They're fun to look at, the following are some of my favourites:

Look over the Mii Plaza site and leave comments on the ones you like!

I'm also thinking about weekly posting the questions that are on the Everybody Votes Wii channel. As a weekly feature, I can post the results the following week. But I haven't figured out how to easily type it up on my computer yet, since the computer is not at the TV. I guess having a laptop would help this.

A sample question from this week: Which type of movie do you prefer? Action or Comedy?

This poll closed already and apparently 58% preferred comedy to action. 71.9% of females preferred comedy while 53.7% of males also preferred comedy, but not as much.

Gaming/Game Links

Leading with Cooking Mama again. Luckily after a few attempts, I managed to pick up a copy for $20 today, so yay! I haven't tried it yet, but the consensus seems to say it's not very good. The highest ranked review presented their review in a really creative manner. It was presented like a script of an iron chef episode pitting the DS version against the Wii version. Hopefully I'll get a chance to try it out this weekend.

Does anyone remember "You Don't Know Jack"? It was a really fun trivia game back in high school that was really creative in it's presentation, voicework and writing. Well, You Don't Know Jack is back....sorta. It used to have a multiplayer option, but now, only Dis or Dat is multiplayer. Anyway, check it out and have fun laughing!

Anyone ever play Mystery of Time and Space? It's one of those clicking games where you have click yourself out of a room. Well there are some new ones out...go nuts.

Anyone play Tower Defense, a single player subtype warcraft 3 game that became pretty popular. Here's a flash version of a Tower Defense game. Upgrade those Squirt towers and create a maze!

There's RPG/RTS (warcraft3) and action/RTS (Battlezone), but FPS/RTS?

And lastly, a "philosophical" Mii video:

Wii Mii Commercials

New Wii Mii commercials have come out and I've included them below. You can get really creative with the Mii's. Kottke ran a contest on celebrity Mii's and some really cool ones came out of it. I especially liked the Godfather, Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars, George Costanza and Charlie Brown. The eventual winner was Zach Braff. I think they should show off some celebrity Mii's in the commercials.

New Blogger

Probably no one cares, but I was finally able to port over my blogger page from the old blogger to the new one. I couldn't do it when they first released it because my blog was too large or something dumb like that. I don't see much of a difference yet, but at least I can try it out.

Maybe I didn't emphasize this enough in my last post, but I'm really really sad about losing my Miis. I spent so much time making those, even getting out photos to see what people look like. My sister had also created about 10 Miis of her friends and those are all gone too. Now I might be too lazy to make them all again. I sent Edmond a bunch of them, so hopefully he'll send me back some more. The good news is I have more Wii friends now! Russell got one and so did Andrea. Karina's (Russ' gf) mom was so enamoured by the wii, that she asked him to leave it there....lol.

Valentine's day is quickly approaching. If I lived in the States or closer to the US I would definitely go to this. When I sent this to Kitty she didn't seem too pleased, haha. But doesn't it sound awesome? Also note that I have never been to Whitecastle before, so it would make it extra special. I so wished they had one in Buffalo, so it'd be easier to go, but the closest one is in Detroit. Regardless, I have Jury Duty on the 14th, so I woudln't be able to go anyway :(

Remember when I offered a chance to go the Raptors game on this blog? Well since no one responded, I decided to go a different route. This time I had Tragically Hip tickets that my mom had won from work, and I just gave them to someone that I figured would like them. So Richard and Tim are at the ACC right now enjoying the music of the Hip! Enjoy!
